After your first year of treatment

After your first year of treatment

Hello and welcome back!

We will be guiding you through the next steps once you have finished taking MAVENCLAD in your first year of treatment.

Firstly, it is important to go to all follow-up appointments and blood tests arranged by your doctor or nurse.

This is so they can assess how you are responding to MAVENCLAD and check your immune system.

In between your treatments, a member of the adveva team will contact you around the 6-month mark and again just before your second treatment year, to see how you are feeling and answer any questions you may have.

Before you can start your second treatment year, you will need to see your healthcare professional. This is so they can check your blood work to see if your lymphocytes are in an acceptable range before starting your second treatment year.

If your immune system needs a little longer to recover, your healthcare professional will delay the start of your second treatment year.

Remember that the correct dose of MAVENCLAD depends on your weight. Your weight can go up and down in a year, so your healthcare professional will want to check it to decide on the correct dosage for your second treatment year.

You’ll then start your second year of treatment.

Through the adveva website, you have access to wellness advice on topics such as

eating well,

getting enough rest,

managing stress

and doing the right kind of exercise.

Remember that the adveva team is always here to support you and answer any questions you have.

We’re only a phone call away. If you have any ideas on services we can add to adveva, let us know. We want to tailor this service to fit you perfectly.

Well, that’s it from our video series. Thank you for watching.
