Here are some tips that other people living with MS have used to get enough rest:

  • Plan ahead and set reasonable goals. Allow for rest breaks and break things down into smaller tasks.
  • Know your limits. Don’t feel guilty for saying no. Allow for rest periods or power naps during the day.
  • Find a routine that works. Try to stick to a sleep routine – get up and go to bed at the same time each day. If old interests or activities become more difficult or too time consuming, replace them with new ones.
  • Create space to unwind. Create a comfortable, clutter-free space at home where you can unwind.
